How to Set Up a Smart Home (A Renter's Step-by-Step)

Done in the right order, with the right no-install gear, it’s more like an afternoon — and for a renter, none of it has to touch a wall. Step 2: Get your Wi-Fi right (the step people skip)

Step 3: Add your first smart plug
